French Toast Casserole

You will need Karo syrup, butter, brown sugar, french bread, eggs, vanilla, milk and cinnamon.

In a small sauce pan cook at low/medium heat; 1 stick of butter, 1 cup brown sugar and 2 tablespoons light Karo/corn syrup.  Stirring occasionally till starts to bubble.

While the mixture is cooking, cut up about 3/4 of loaf of french bread, about 1 inch thick slices.

Once your mixture is bubbling pour into a 9x13, make sure to spray with cooking spray first.

Put as much bread as you can into the pan.  As you can see you will cut up some of your slices into little pieces to fit into the little crevices, pack it full!

Whisk together 5 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 cup milk.  Slowly pour you mixture over your bread.

Next melt one stick of butter and drizzle that over the top.

Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Cover and place in fridge overnight or for at least 8 hours.

When ready to bake, uncover and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

Let rest for about 5-10 minutes, slice up and serve!  This is really good leftover too, if you have any left.
Enjoy!!
