You will need Karo syrup, butter, brown sugar, french bread, eggs, vanilla, milk and cinnamon. In a small sauce pan cook at low/medium heat; 1 stick of butter, 1 cup brown sugar and 2 tablespoons light Karo/corn syrup.  Stirring occasionally till starts to bubble.  While the mixture is cooking, cut up about 3/4 of loaf of french bread, about 1 inch thick slices.  Once your mixture is bubbling pour into a 9x13, make sure to spray with cooking spray first. Put as much bread as you can into the pan.  As you can see you will cut up some of your slices into little pieces to fit into the little crevices, pack it full!  Whisk together 5 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 cup milk.  Slowly pour you mixture over your bread. Next melt one stick of butter and drizzle that over the top. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover and place in fridge overnight or for at least 8 hours. When ready to bake, uncover and bak...

Simple Taco Dip

Image
You will need cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, taco sauce, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. Start by combining 8oz sour cream, 8oz cream cheese (softened) and 1-1.24oz packet of taco seasoning.  You will have some small lumps of the cream cheese, that is ok. Spread evenly as possible into a 9x13 container, you can use plastic like I have or you can use a glass or metal pan.  Spread a thing layer of taco sauce or you can even you salsa.  I have done it both ways and it is great either way! Next a layer of shredded lettuce and then a layer of chopped up tomatoes- you do not have to de-seed the tomato if you do not want to.  And then a layer of finely shredded cheddar cheese. Serve with Nacho Cheese Doritos. You can mix this dip up by adding a layer of cooked and cooled ground beef, some onions, black olives or other veggies. Enjoy!!

Image
You will need tender quick salt, garlic powder, onion powder, liquid smoke, water, ground beef, and mustard seed. In a large bowl first combine 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 3 tablespoons Morton's Tender Quick (pictured above).  Stir together. To your dry mix add 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons Liquid Smoke (pictured above), Mix well.  Add 2 tablespoons mustard seed and 2 pounds of beef. Mix well - I use my hands as you can make sure it is mixed up really good.  If you do use your hands you will want to have some paper towels handy. Separate out the mixture into 6 equal sized balls (will be close to the size of a softball). One at a time place a ball in  your hand and form into a loaf/rectangle shape.  Place on a piece of foil - shiny side in. Fold over the foil, long way first. Fold over the edges of the foil and roll/fold up to the edges of your loaf. Do the same folding and rolli...
