Scalloped Potatoes with Ham
You will need potatoes, onion, ham, butter, salt, pepper, milk, flour, shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. Peal and cut up 5 cups of potatoes. Rinse with cool water, place in large bowl and set aside. Finely chop up 1 large onion or equal to 1 cup and set aside. Cut up 3 cups of ham into small squares. Set aside. In a large sauce pan melt 1/2 cup (1 stick of butter) on low hear. Once melted add 2 teaspoons salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and 1/2 cup flour. Stirring occasionally until it thickens. Remove from heat. Slowly stir in 2 cup of milk and 4oz sour cream. You can use a small whisk to mix in the sour cream fully. Place back on the low heat until it begins to thicken and bubble.
